give thanks.

Thanksgiving. Today it is that wonderful time of year when we go to family and friend's houses,
eat, talk, and spend time with them.

But, do we give thanks?

What if you woke up tomorrow
with only the things you
thanked God for today?

If you woke up tomorrow and only had the things that you thanked the Lord for today, what would you have? Would you be left with nothing, or would you have everything that you have today. because you gave thanks?

I am going to try to take some time today to thank the Lord for every family member, every friend, every blessing that I have. We all have so much to be thankful for.

And now, for my list of things that I am thankful for, although this is not everything. It would take tons of blog posts for everything that I am thankful for!

<< The Lord. Without Him, iI wouldn't even be here. He has given life to me and He is the one that has blessed me with so many things. Thank you, Lord, for everything you have done for me! When I am ungrateful, He still loves me. When I make a mistake, He forgives me. When I fall down, He picks me up. When I was lost, He showed me grace and extended His mercy to me. Thank you, Jesus. I love you so much.

<< My family. I love every single one of them more than I can say. Even though I am not perfect, they still love me. Even though I don't always show them unconditional love, they still love me.
Daddy, Mommy, Sarah, Caleb, Rebekah, Anna,I love you. I am also thankful for my dear grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins. And i thank the Lord for the time that He did give me with my great-grandparents, who are now in heaven with Jesus.

>> My friend. Okay, y'all are amazing. In my worst moments, y'all still love me. You love me even though you know my faults. You encourage me on my best days and worst days. You sharpen me, as we talk about God's Word and the things on the Lord. I love all of y'all!!! Friends in-town. Friends out-of-state and out of country. Blogger friends, whom I haven't ever met. I love you all. Thank you for being a blessing to me!!!

>>The Bible. It gives me my daily strength, encourages me, and challenges me. This is the Lord's letter of love and guidance written to us.Since we have the Bible, we can share the Gospel message to others.
Thank you Lord, for giving your written-word to us.

<< Other things. So many other things to be thankful for. God's creation. Church. Fellowship. Bible studies. Journals. Books. Internet(without this, I would have never been able to get to know all of you!). Little things. letters. phone calls. warm clothes. pretty shoes. handmade gifts.

I hope you all have a splendid Thanksgiving filled with giving thanks.

May the Lord bless you all.

What are you thankful for?

  1. I am thankful for ever-so-much. This morning, I set aside time to simply thank God for some of the blessing He has bestowed upon me, and I easily filled a whole page. :) I left out SOOO much!!!! God has richly blessed me in more ways than I will probably ever know. There are not only the ongoing blessings God bestows on me (like salvation, His Word, His guidance, and everything that He is - the same forever), there are the extra-special daily blessings. I'm afraid that I would reach the comment-box's max (if there is such a thing) if I would even try to relate all the things God has done for me this year. I truly serve the greatest God ever!!! :)

Love you and pray that you had a blessed Thanksgiving.
