A new year...

A brand new year.
The words stunned me, as I realized that a new year is almost upon us. I really cannot believe it. It seems that only yesterday that the year 2010 was ending, and 2011 was starting. This year has been one of the best years that I can remember. So many joys. So many blessings. So many lessons learned. New friends. New hobbies. Joys in simple things of life. So many wonderful adventures. So many moments that I will forever cherish in my heart.  I cannot say that this year was perfect, because it was not. It was not without it's hard moments. But, the Lord brought my through those things and gave me the strength to carry on. He will never fail me!

We serve an amazing, awesome God! Every day I am stunned and utterly amazed by what He teaches me, and the promise that His love will never fail.

A few days ago, I started thinking about New Year's resolutions. As some of you may know, I make new resolutions almost every year. Some years I succeed in my resolutions, and some years I do not.  So, this year I decided that I would only make resolutions that were important. I feel that time is so short, and that I need to be doing things that will count for eternity. I need to be using all the time that I have for Christ's glory, and doing the things that He has commanded me to do.

-Grow closer to the Lord.
>>walk closer to Him than I ever have.

-Read through my Bible again, and memorize 52 verses.
>>read His love letters to me, and hide them in my heart, that I may never forget them.

-Do more for Him.
>>talk to Him more. witness. encourage my brother's and sister's in Christ. be more like Him.

If I do not succeed in anything in the next year, but I grow closer to my Savior, then the year will be worth it.

Happy New year{early}, dear readers!
May the Lord bless you, and draw you closer to Him in the next year!!

As we walk through this journey through life, may we seek to please Him in everything we say, think, and do.

"As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God."
{Psalm 42:1}

What are your New Year's resolutions??
